A good lubricant can smooth out the processes in your vehicle, protect its components, extend its systems' lifespan, and much more. To learn what lubricants your vehicle needs, refer to the post below.

How to Lubricate Your Vehicle Properly

  1. The most important lubricant your vehicle requires is the synthetic oil, which has the crucial job of protecting and lubricating the engine, making your vehicle powerful.
  2. Whenever you change speeds in your vehicle, you use the transmission system. It requires a transmission fluid that can smooth out its processes and extend its lifespan.
  3. The braking system needs a brake fluid, for lubrication purposes, and to transfer power from one part of the system to the other, allowing it to stop or slow down your vehicle.
  4. Like the braking system, the power steering system requires a hydraulic fluid and a lubricant. Its is called the power steering fluid that helps you guide your vehicle effectively.
  5. Aside from the aforementioned systems, there are other parts of your vehicle that require lubrication (e.g. the wheel bearings). Grease provides the necessary thickness to protect them.
  6. If you drive a more powerful vehicle, such as a big truck, you will require gear lube to lessen the friction between some of its components and to prevent premature wear on them.
  7. Sometimes, you will need to loosen up the bolt in your vehicle. For those instances, you can use a penetration lubricant to oil up those nooks and crannies.
  8. Lastly, you may need a dry lubricant from time to time, for whenever you require a thinner lube that can reach small spaces where wetter lubricants aren't permitted (e.g. in the door lock).
